We were finally able to be back out on the ice again this year - with 20+ inches of ice we changed things up a bit and allowed the contestants to fish anywhere on the lake. For those that chose to avoid the wind out on the lake we had plenty of games and raffles to keep them entertained inside the heated tent on the patio at Back to Captain's. We had our grand prize drawing for the Kawasaki Mule UTV raffle, the fishing contest winner took home $1000 for his 9lb 13oz northern, and thousands of dollars of prizes were given away throughout the day!

John smiled down and gave us another beautiful day for the 2nd Annual John Wojack Sr. Memorial Ride. We started out at Back to Captain's and made our way along backroads to Bradford Pub and Grub, stopped for a nice lunch at Grandy Nine, ventured our way up to Flickabirds on Rush Lake, and then made our final stop at Jumpin' Jacks before we returned to Back to Captain's.
Thank you for joining Rum River Outdoor Foundation and the family of John Wojack Sr. in this annual tribute to our neighbor, friend, and community pillar. John’s family members and friends that participated in this year's ride included his wife, Lois, Son & daughter-in-law, John and Kim Wojack, Brett and Korri Wojack, Julia Randall and Chad Pillatzki.
Proceeds from this event are donated to causes that were near and dear to John's heart.

In partnership with Beyond the Yellow Ribbon – Isanti County, we provided a “hand-up” to dozens of local veterans with a donation of more than $11,000. The funds were raised as part of the First Annual Veteran’s Side-by-Side Ride which was held April 27, 2024.
The heroes of the day included about 200 drivers and passengers in more than 100 side-by-side vehicles, more than 50 volunteers, including the St. Francis Trap Team, and
the generous support of local business sponsors pictured below.
The event started and ended at Isanti Spirits Distillery, and included stops at Moonshine Bar& Grill Princeton, Mystic Inn, Hi Way Inn, and The Dusty Eagle. Gus' BBQ and Leema’s
Birria Tacos food trucks provided refreshments at the conclusion of the ride.
The Isanti County Sherriff’s Safety and Rescue team played a critical role in keeping major
crossings safe and efficient.
Riders consistently agreed that a major highlight of the day was the heartwarming support of community members who waved flags, saluted, and cheered riders on from their homes along the route.

The first annual John Wojack Sr Memorial Ride was held on September 30, 2023 , what would have been John's 83rd Birthday. It was a heartfelt tribute to honor the memory of a remarkable individual. John was well known in the Bradford Community and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
John was an active member of the Lion's Club. Old cars, boating, hunting, pyrotechnics, travel, and time spent with family were just a few of his other passions. He was also a member in many outdoor groups including Ducks Unlimited, Minnesota Waterfowl, & Pheasants Forever.
This inaugural event brought together passionate individuals who share a love for adventure and a desire to make a difference. This event allowed us to make donations and help support causes that were dear to John's heart.
